On March 21, 2012, the Thailand World Journal Reported that A Luxie, the sales manager of Thai A.P. Honda company, released in February, 2012, the total amount sales in Thailand is 178,619 sets, up 7%.

The sales of automatic motorcycle was 90,027 sets, occupying 50%; 83,015 sets of Family motorcycle took up 46%; and 5,607 sets for other kinds almost had 4%. The statistics based on brand, Honda sales is 121,389 sets with share of 68%, Yamaha 45,459 with 25%, other brands like Suzuki and Kawasaki totally 7%.

The continuous increase of Global fuel prices resulted to high sales of motorcycles, because more and more consumers buy motorcycles as their traffic tools, meanwhile, New styles of all brands motorcycles were promoted at the beginning of the year 2012, thus impelled the purchasing power of consumers. It is predicted that in March motorcycle sales will surpass previous two months, because except raising fuel prices, the improvement of the agricultural cost and peasants income is also one of the reasons
